We are looking for experienced Digital Systems Specialists who are Epic certified/accredited to join our Digital Services Team and support the development, optimisation and improvement of digital systems across the Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of digital transformation, helping to improve patient care, operational efficiency and staff experience through effective digital solutions and workflow improvement.
You will work closely with clinical, operational and technical colleagues to understand service needs, support system changes, resolve complex issues and help ensure digital systems are safe, effective and fit for purpose.
This role would suit someone with strong digital healthcare experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Main duties of the jobThe role of a Digital Systems Specialist will oversee a team of Epic analysts who support and work to improve the Epic electronic patient record (EPR) as well as provide technical guidance.
The Digital Systems Specialist will be required to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. They will need to develop and deliver complex technical and process concepts to large groups of internal and external senior clinical and management staff.
Digital Systems Specialists will work with operational and clinical staff to develop training and local support strategies to enable staff to realise the benefits from Epic and other digital systems.
The Digital Systems Specialist will take responsibility for the design integrity of the module for which they are responsible, working closely with the Design Authority. They will supervise the analysts in their role working with clinicians and admin staff in specific departments or specialties to review workflows and standards already built into the EPR and facilitate agreement for future development and optimisation.
They will be required to adapt and design the system solution to meet the specification of others and will be responsible for the operational aspects of one or more modules of the Epic system.
