Our Swiss-based Cloud Native stream, consisting of 25 professionals, collaborates closely with clients to support them in their organizational and technical journey into the cloud-native world. We design, build, and manage critical cloud-based IT infrastructures, relying on our proven, standardized tool stack for container platforms, security measures, and CI/CD solutions.
To expand our team, we’re seeking a Senior System Engineer
. In this role, you will lead challenging customer projects and act as the Single Point of Contact for select Service Level Agreements.
- Act as the technical lead on complex projects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Lead technical discussions with demanding stakeholders, align expectations, and turn ambiguity into clear next steps.
- Anticipate organizational and delivery risks, and address them early through structured communication in complex, high-pressure customer environments.
- Manage complex, critical systems, apply updates, and resolve incidents to keep them on track.
- Plan and implement sophisticated (multi-)cloud or on-premises platforms.
- Provide comprehensive support, tackle high-priority issues, and assist junior and professional team members in critical situations.
- Five to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments.
- A strong Dev Ops background: CNCF and Hashi Corp stacks, Git Lab, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Helm, Dev Sec Ops , IaC, and Git Ops are your bread and butter.
- Broad experience in software development, cloud migration, and platform engineering.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to translate advanced concepts into smart network designs.
- Ability to identify security vulnerabilities early and address them effectively.
- Expertise in improving automations and building new ones to enhance operations.
- A sound understanding of how to align technology, architecture, and business requirements in complex customer environments.
- You understand client needs, navigate demanding stakeholder situations with clarity and tact, and build strong, trust-based relationships.
- You identify risks and dependencies early, address them proactively, and create clarity in complex situations.
- You thrive on challenges and see solutions where others see problems.
- Quality matters to you, and you take full responsibility for your work.
- You work hands-on, support others in critical moments, and keep the right stakeholders aligned.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken German.
- Git Lab, IBM (Hashi Corp), Red Hat, and/or SUSE certifications.
- Experience with SUSE products.
- AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications.
