IntroductieDo you get energized by supporting a complex manufacturing process and driving structural improvements through data? In this role you will directly support the Production Engineering teams of a high-tech manufacturing organisation. By navigating a large-scale data migration and building advanced visualisation tools, you make sure the engineering organisation has the exact insights needed to optimise quality, cycle time and efficiency on the shopfloor.
OrganisatieYou will join a multidisciplinary engineering department with English as the working language. Day to day you support Production Engineers, collaborating with data engineers, first line support and factory stakeholders to align cross-functional data streams.
FunctieThe Factory Engineering department sets the pace for industrialisation and continuous improvement. The production engineering teams are currently operating in an environment undergoing a full-scale ERP migration to SAP, which introduces complex challenges around data mapping, data quality and legacy system integration.
The goal of the team is to enable engineering and factory strategies by transforming raw transactional data into clean, actionable business intelligence, and to deliver high-end dashboarding and reporting solutions that support Production Engineers in improving cycle time, quality and cost.
Responsinilities- Act as the go-to data partner for the Production Engineering teams, translating complex manufacturing and engineering requests into structural data solutions
- Independently work within SAP ERP / SAP HANA architectures to map, extract and clean raw data fields during the migration transition phase
- Design, build and maintain advanced interactive dashboards to visualise engineering metrics
- Write complex SQL queries to blend datasets from multiple legacy systems, and use Python or R to automate data cleaning pipelines
You develop the dashboards and data models that allow Production Engineers to drive core manufacturing KPIs, such as cycle time reduction across production milestones, recurrence tracking of production disturbances and malfunction notifications, and first-time-right execution and procedure quality.
Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or analytical field (Data Science, Econometrics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or similar)
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst in a high-tech manufacturing, engineering or complex supply chain environment. No starters, candidate must be immediately deployable
- Proven hands-on experience with SAP data extraction and data mapping within migration projects
Extensive experience with advanced dashboard design in Power BI and a second enterprise BI platform (such as TIBCO Spotfire, Qlik or Tableau)
Skills and mindset
- Structured problem solving and a data-driven decision-making mindset
- Migration resilience: able to handle changing data structures, incomplete fields and to create clarity out of ambiguity
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English
- A gross monthly salary of up to €6,500 on a fulltime basis, depending on your knowledge and experience
- 8.33% holiday allowance, paid on top of your gross salary
- 25 holiday days per year (based on a 40-hour work week)
- A solid pension scheme
- Travel expense reimbursement
All required devices and hardware are provided by the client - A hybrid working arrangement, combining onsite presence at the production site with working from home
