Job Summary
This role focuses on leading and supporting SharePoint Online initiatives, including migrations, environment assessments, and translating business needs into functional requirements to enhance enterprise intranet and document management systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support SharePoint Online migrations by planning, assessing content, testing, validating, and managing business transitions
- Assess existing SharePoint environments to identify gaps and develop target state architectures, migration roadmaps, and vendor scopes
- Gather and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios
- Collaborate with outsourced vendors or implementation partners to manage delivery outcomes, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Evaluate solution options and challenge vendor recommendations using sound business, governance, operational, and technical reasoning
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to analyze requirements, solve problems, and document solutions effectively
- Assess technology, operational, security, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigating controls
- Apply practical knowledge of modern SharePoint Online capabilities including sites, pages, web parts, lists, document libraries, metadata, content types, navigation, search, and permissions
- Support enterprise intranet, knowledge management, or document management initiatives to improve organizational information flow
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, migrating, or governing SharePoint Online solutions beyond end-user usage
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services such as Power Automate and Power Apps
- Experience designing or reviewing SharePoint information architecture, document management structures, and access-control models
- Demonstrated ability to lead or materially support at least one SharePoint or document repository migration to SharePoint Online, including discovery and migration planning
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills to support complex SharePoint projects
