The Opportunity:
The Senior Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for implementation and maintenance of advanced security controls, conducting comprehensive security assessments, managing and responding to complex security incidents, and providing expert technical guidance.
This role involves delivery of implementing security measures, proactive risk management, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the organization's robust security posture and alignment to regulatory and compliance requirements. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) forthe cyber security analysts, the Senior Cyber Security Analyst willguide analysts in performing Business As Usual (BAU) activities,including daily checks, incident response (IR), event monitoring,and response etc.
Additionally, they will work closely with team lead/manager to manage workloads, drive initiatives,uplift the team environment, and mentor junior team members.
The is a full time permanent position, based in Glasgow with hybrid working.
Main responsibilities include:
Oversee and enhance monitoring of security alerts and events using advanced security information andevent management (SIEM) tools
Lead the analysis of security logsand alerts to identify potential security incidents
Perform and supervise comprehensiveanalysis of security logs, network traffic, and data to detect and respond to advanced threats.
Implement and oversee corrective actions and security measures to prevent future incidents
Develop and implement processes toprevent recurring security incidents and address underlying issues

About you:
The successful candidate will have:
Relevant Cyber Security and/or IT experience
Experience in metric reporting andKPI/SLA management
Experience with securitytechnologies such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP and endpoint protection
Experience working with Jira, Azure Dev Ops , ITSM tools such as Cherwell and Service Now and the MSOffice suite
Excellent communication skills,both verbal and written, along with a track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships and collaborating with stakeholders#LI-HYBRID #LI-TM1
