Senior Information Security Analyst; Remote

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their fully remote workforce, based out of Cape Town. This critical role involves protecting the organization's sensitive data and systems from evolving cyber threats. You will be at the forefront of developing and executing security strategies, conducting in-depth risk assessments, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information assets.

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks.
• Manage and respond to security incidents, coordinating response efforts and performing post-incident analysis.
• Oversee the configuration and operation of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into all system development life cycles.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices and emerging threats to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in information security, with a focus on analysis and incident response.
• Demonstrated expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Proven ability to manage security incidents effectively, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and application security principles.
• Excellent communication skills, essential for a remote team environment.
