Remote Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Remote Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives, supporting their operations around Randburg . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information security program. You will manage a team of security professionals, drive policy development, and ensure robust protection against cyber threats. Operating entirely remotely, you will collaborate with senior management and stakeholders globally, leveraging your expertise to build and maintain a secure environment.

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive information security strategy and program.
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

• Manage the incident response process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security breaches.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs.
• Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, suitable for a remote management role.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
