Information Security Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to provide expert guidance and strategic advice on a contract basis. This role involves assessing security risks, recommending solutions, and assisting with the implementation of security improvements for various projects and systems. You will work independently or as part of a project team, leveraging your deep knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
• Advise on the design and implementation of secure IT infrastructure and applications.
• Develop and review security policies, standards, and procedures for clients.
• Assist clients in achieving compliance with relevant security regulations and frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance on threat modeling, risk management, and security architecture.
• Deliver technical reports and presentations to stakeholders on security findings and recommendations.

• Proven experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and threat landscapes.
• Expertise in security risk assessment, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with cloud security, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA), and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with clients remotely.
