About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Operations Specialist to join their expanding remote team. This position is crucial for the day-to-day monitoring, management, and optimization of their extensive telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated monitoring tools, identifying and escalating issues proactively.
  • Respond to network alerts and incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate resolution with relevant technical teams.
  • Manage network configurations and perform software updates on network devices, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Document network events, incident resolutions, and operational procedures in the incident management system.
  • Collaborate with network engineering and support teams to implement network changes and improvements effectively.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations, monitoring, or support within the telecoms industry.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching.
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and hardware issues on various network devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and proficiency in remote collaboration tools.
