About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Information Security Manager to lead their security efforts, offering a remote work opportunity with operational ties to Benoni . This senior leadership role will involve developing and executing the organization's information security strategy, managing the security team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong security posture across all business units.

• Develop, implement, and maintain the comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the information security team, fostering a high-performance culture.

• Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Manage the incident response program, including preparedness, detection, and recovery.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and business units to integrate security into business processes and objectives.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful information security programs.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are mandatory.
