E-commerce Platform Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a technically adept and customer-focused E-commerce Platform Specialist to join their team in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and ongoing development of their e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient online shopping experience. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, problem-solving skills, and a strong grasp of user experience principles.

You will work closely with the IT, marketing, and operations teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and drive platform performance improvements that support our business growth objectives.

• Manage and maintain the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and security.
• Implement new features, functionalities, and integrations to enhance user experience and streamline operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, collaborating with IT support and third-party vendors as needed.
• Optimize website navigation, product categorization, search functionality, and checkout process for improved conversion rates.
• Work with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns, A/B testing, and personalization strategies on the platform.
• Analyze platform performance data and user behavior to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancements.

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Platform Specialist , Webmaster, or similar role, with hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce).
• Strong understanding of website architecture, UX/UI principles, and online merchandising best practices.
• Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and interpreting data to drive decisions.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial for front-end adjustments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage technical projects effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
