Remote Project Manager - Healthcare Technology

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager to lead critical healthcare technology projects. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from conceptualization to deployment, working closely with diverse teams including software developers, clinicians, and IT specialists.

Operating from anywhere within South Africa, you will ensure that these technology solutions are implemented effectively, meeting the evolving needs of the healthcare sector and driving innovation.

• Manage the full lifecycle of healthcare technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and communication strategies for remote teams.
• Facilitate seamless collaboration among geographically dispersed project team members, stakeholders, and third-party vendors using virtual collaboration tools.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies, implementing proactive mitigation plans.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements within the healthcare industry.
• Communicate project status, key milestones, and potential challenges effectively to senior management and all relevant stakeholders.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on healthcare technology or related fields.
• Proven ability to successfully manage complex projects in a fully remote environment.
• Deep understanding of healthcare systems, electronic health records (EHR), and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and proficiency with project management software such as Jira or Asana.
• Excellent remote communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; PMP or Agile certification is highly desirable.
