Security Architect

Our client is seeking a visionary Security Architect to design and implement enterprise-wide security strategies and solutions. This is a fully remote position, providing an exceptional opportunity to shape the security landscape from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for developing secure system architectures, defining security requirements, and ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's technology infrastructure.

• Design and develop secure enterprise architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Define security requirements and standards for new systems, applications, and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to address current and future threats.
• Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to integrate security into the entire system lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security best practices and emerging threats.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with a significant portion in security architecture or design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex, large-scale environments, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), cryptography, network security, and application security principles.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), data loss prevention (DLP), and security monitoring solutions.
