About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled AI Infrastructure Engineer to join their cutting-edge, fully remote team. This role is critical for building and maintaining the robust, scalable infrastructure required to support our client's advanced AI and machine learning initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the hardware and software environments that enable efficient AI model training and deployment.
This position is perfect for an experienced infrastructure professional with a passion for AI and a desire to work in a flexible, remote-first setting, contributing to the technological backbone of groundbreaking AI projects.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including compute clusters, storage, and networking.
- Implement and maintain MLOps tools and practices to streamline the AI development lifecycle, from experimentation to production.
- Optimize infrastructure performance for AI model training and inference, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Develop automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure the security, stability, and cost-effectiveness of the AI infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, Dev Ops, or site reliability engineering (SRE).
- Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or on-premises compute clusters.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the specific infrastructure requirements for training and deploying models.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
