About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Data Scientist specializing in Bioinformatics to join their globally distributed research team. This role is pivotal in extracting meaningful insights from vast biological datasets, including genomic, proteomic, and clinical information. You will be responsible for developing advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms to support drug discovery and development efforts. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate closely with scientists and engineers across different time zones.

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and statistical analyses for biological data.
• Analyze large-scale datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) to identify patterns and predictive markers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, and software engineers, remotely.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical workflows for efficient data processing and interpretation.
• Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to the development of novel computational approaches for biological research.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics , Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science or bioinformatics, with a focus on biological data.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and associated data science libraries.
• Proven experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Experience working with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
