About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Telecoms Network Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of their telecommunications network in Benoni . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and secure functioning of all network systems. You will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software, playing a key part in maintaining service continuity.

This hybrid role allows for both essential on-site presence and the flexibility of remote work, offering a balanced approach to network management within the dynamic Gauteng province.

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.
• Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Update network software and hardware, applying patches and upgrades as needed.
• Provide technical support to internal users for network-related issues.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in a telecoms environment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Familiarity with both wired and wireless network technologies.
