About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Remote IT Infrastructure Technician to join their dispersed technical support team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and troubleshooting the company's network infrastructure and IT systems for employees working from various locations. You will be responsible for remote diagnostics, network configuration, hardware and software support, and ensuring the security and reliability of our IT environment.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a technology-driven organization from the comfort of your home office, focusing on Installation & Maintenance of digital assets and systems.
- Provide remote technical support for network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and wired connections.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for end-users, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor network performance and security, implementing solutions to prevent outages and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and update technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures for IT infrastructure.
- Assist in the deployment and management of cloud-based services and applications.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician, Network Administrator, or similar role, with a strong emphasis on remote support.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles.
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common office productivity suites.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues remotely.
