About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Telecom Network Operations Specialist to join their team in Stellenbosch . This role is integral to the day-to-day management and upkeep of the telecommunications network, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, responding to incidents, and performing routine operational tasks. This hybrid position allows for focused work both remotely and from the office, providing a balanced approach to operational management in a vibrant tech hub.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor network health and performance using advanced NMS tools.
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and alerts according to established procedures.
- Perform routine system checks, backups, and software updates.
- Analyze network data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
- Coordinate with other operational teams and vendors for issue resolution and service provisioning.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and telecom infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
