About the Role
Our client is seeking eager and technically inclined individuals for a Remote Apprentice IT Support Technician position based out of Richards Bay . This role is designed for those passionate about technology, offering comprehensive training in IT support, troubleshooting, and network assistance. You will gain invaluable experience resolving technical issues for users across various departments, remotely managing systems, and learning about IT infrastructure best practices.

- Provide first-level technical support to users via remote channels (phone, email, chat).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Document all technical support incidents and resolutions accurately in a ticketing system.
- Assist in managing user accounts and permissions within IT systems.
- Learn and implement IT security best practices to protect company data and systems.
- A strong passion for technology and IT support.
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with a keen interest in IT.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
