About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and responsive Remote Helpdesk Technician to join their distributed technical support team, supporting users across various locations including Stellenbosch . You will be responsible for providing first-line technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, and hardware, all from your remote workspace. This role is essential for maintaining smooth IT operations and ensuring user productivity.

• Provide remote technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to service tickets in a timely manner, prioritizing and escalating issues as needed.
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Walk customers through problem-solving processes for technical issues.
• Maintain records of hardware and software inventory and user information.

• Proven experience as a helpdesk technician or other customer support role.
• Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, common software applications, and network fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to users of all technical abilities.
