Your mission
What will you do as a Dev Ops Engineer?

Macaw's Dev Ops Engineers are a close-knit group of professionals who work together in a practical, down-to-earth environment to design, build, and continuously improve Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. We support national and international customers in strengthening the stability, availability, security, and scalability of their Azure environments.

As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will help set up, monitor, manage, and support Microsoft Azure-based IaaS and PaaS environments. You will do this as part of a team of around 30 engineers, consultants, and architects, combining hands-on technical delivery with a customer-focused mindset.

You will become a trusted technical lead for one or more customers and act as a key sparring partner for the Service Delivery Manager. In this role, you are not only strong in delivery and operations, but you are also comfortable stepping into a consultancy role when needed, leading assessments, advising clients, and helping translate technical challenges into practical solutions. At Macaw, you will also have plenty of room to grow further, for example into Azure Architecture, Azure Networking, Cloud Security, or Azure Dev Ops, with future opportunities to develop into an Azure Architect or Technical Consultant.

Your profile
At Macaw, you will have every opportunity to keep developing yourself. To make an immediate impact in our current projects, we are looking for an experienced Dev Ops Engineer with the following background, skills, and mindset:

At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Dev Ops Engineer, preferably in customer-facing or managed services environments;

Experience working with ITIL-based processes and service-oriented delivery;

Strong knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Power Shell, Bicep and/or Terraform, CI/CD, containers, networking, security, IAM, and Microsoft cloud governance frameworks such as CAF and WAF; familiarity with AI-related capabilities is a plus;

You hold the AZ-400 and AZ-305 certifications ;

You are confident working directly with customers, enjoy advising them when needed, and are not afraid to take on consultancy work alongside hands-on engineering;

You have a strong command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
