Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Network Engineer based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with some flexibility for work from home. The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security across all environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, monitoring network performance, and diagnosing and resolving connectivity and security issues.
The role also involves documenting network architectures and procedures, supporting network upgrades and migrations, and collaborating with security, systems, and development teams to ensure reliable services. The Network Engineer will help establish best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of network operations.
- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design for planning, implementing, and optimizing network architectures.
- Proficiency in Network Administration for managing devices, configurations, and daily network operations.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting to diagnose, resolve, and prevent network performance and connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of Network Security to implement secure configurations, access controls, and monitoring practices.
- Experience with common networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with enterprise network hardware and tools (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, monitoring and logging solutions).
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CCNA, Network+, or equivalent) and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field are beneficial.
