ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Senior Technical Consultant to design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in OCI services, cloud architecture, and migration strategies, working remotely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Configure core OCI services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Develop cloud architecture aligned with business and technical requirements
Lead migration of on-premise or legacy systems to OCI
Plan and execute lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or cloud-native migration strategies
Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity during migrations

Security & Governance

Implement OCI security best practices including IAM policies, network security, and data protection
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Perform security assessments and recommend improvements

Automation & Dev Ops

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes
Support Dev Ops practices for continuous integration and delivery

Performance & Optimization

Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
7–12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or consulting
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience in cloud migration and deployment projects

Technical Skills

OCI services:
Compute, VCN, Load Balancer, Object Storage, Block Storage
Identity & Access Management (IAM) and security configurations
Networking concepts (VPN, Fast Connect, subnets, routing)
Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting (Shell, Python)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Dev Ops practices

Preferred Skills

Oracle Cloud certifications (OCI Architect / Professional)
Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of database services (Oracle DB, Autonomous DB)
