IT Business Analyst required to work for a Law Firm based in the City of London. This will be 2 days remote / 3 days office based per week...but in a lovely new office!
Please read carefully before applying - we need a seasoned / experienced Business Analyst who has worked within a Law Firm or Professional Services / Partnership experience. If you have not worked within any of these sectors, we cannot consider your application.
The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder engagement, options analysis and benefits realisation. You should be confident working with senior stakeholders, technologists and business users, translating business needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.
Our client is particularly interested in candidates who are methodical, commercially aware, collaborative and comfortable working in a complex, global organisation. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience using tools such as Visio, Skore or similar for Process Modelling would also be valuable.
Despite the specific stakeholder management skills required, it is mainly Technology & Change focused but with huge business impact on the projects / programmes you will be working on. Read on for more details...
Key Skills & Experience Required- Law Firm / Legal IT or Professional Services experience is an absolute MUST
- Demonstrable experience of liaising with a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Demonstrable experience of liaising with and influencing senior business executives and partners
- Excellent awareness of business analysis methods, techniques, and tools
- Exposure to Change Management Projects
- Experience with Process Modelling
- Awareness of best practice, e.g. IIBA or BCS principles, and exhibits good judgement as to when to apply appropriately
- Demonstrable experience of working with technologists, converting business need into technical specifications and options
- Strong knowledge of the main Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Excellent knowledge of Visio, Skore or similar, producing process models, use-cases and activity diagrams
- Articulate and able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a clear, effective manner
- Service focused with good interpersonal skills, with confidence to deal with all levels of staff
- Excellent networking and knowledge building skills
- Excellent commercial and budget management skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Methodical and thorough, showing good attention to detail
- Professional manner with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
- Experience of working effectively across geographies, cultures, teams and functions with an ability to operate effectively in a complex environment
