Group Income Protection Who This Role Is For This role is for someone who knows the UK water industry, understands the challenges facing clean and wastewater networks, and gets energy from using new technology to solve real operational problems.

Youll already have experience across clean and/or wastewater networks, with a strong understanding of areas such as pipeline condition assessment, leakage, infiltration, sewer inspection or network monitoring. Just as importantly, youll be comfortable with the commercial side of the role. Youll enjoy talking to clients, opening new conversations, creating interest in the technologies and turning that interest into funded projects that deliver measurable value.

Youll become the day-to-day lead for three technology partnerships within Binnies Digital:
Ken Wave non-invasive pipeline condition assessment. VAPAR automated sewer CCTV inspection software. Fiber Sense network event detection using fibre optic cables running alongside pipelines. There is already an active pipeline of opportunities to inherit.

Your role is to convert those opportunities into successful deployments, while identifying where these technologies can create further value for water companies and building the relationships needed to scale their use across the sector. This role will suit someone who naturally takes ownership: someone who sees an opportunity, picks up the phone, creates momentum and gets things moving. Youll work closely with the Director of Digital Products & Services and have direct support when you need it, but youll be expected to take the initiative rather than wait for direction.

Why this role exists Binnies Digital is growing across two areas. Our Digital Products team identifies important problems within the water industry, finds proven technologies that can help solve them and partners with those companies to bring their capabilities into the sector. Our Digital Services team works with water companies across the UK and South East Asia on their journey towards AI-enabled operations and Digital Twin transformation.

As our technology portfolio grows, we are bringing our partnerships into one centrally managed team. Ken Wave, VAPAR and Fiber Sense are the next three, and we need someone to own their growth and day-to-day management. What This Role Is About The role has two equally important responsibilities. Build, close and deliver opportunities This is a commercially focused role, so youll need to be comfortable leading business development conversations, shaping opportunities and asking for the work.

Youll lead the commercial development of all three technologies across the UK water industry. That means identifying the right clients and stakeholders, starting conversations, understanding where the technology solves a genuine operational problem, and turning opportunities into projects.
