About the Role
Our client is looking for a sharp and analytical Data Analyst to join their remote-based market intelligence team. This role will focus on analyzing complex datasets related to energy markets, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights to inform strategic decisions. You will play a key part in understanding market dynamics, forecasting future trends, and supporting business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from various energy market sources.
- Perform statistical analysis and develop predictive models to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to energy market performance and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven support for strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain databases and data management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, Num Py), R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
