About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in automotive repair solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to join their virtual technical support team. Working from home, you will provide expert remote assistance to automotive technicians across the country, helping them diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues. This role requires deep technical knowledge, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to effectively guide technicians through intricate diagnostic procedures, supporting clients nationwide from their operational base near Upington .
Key Responsibilities- Provide remote technical support and diagnostic guidance to automotive technicians facing complex vehicle problems.
- Analyze diagnostic data, fault codes, and vehicle behavior to identify root causes of issues.
- Interpret technical service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and repair manuals to assist technicians.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely via phone, email, or video conferencing.
- Document diagnostic findings, solutions, and best practices for knowledge base contribution.
- Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technical support staff.
- Extensive experience as an Automotive Master Technician or in a technical support role.
- Deep understanding of vehicle electronic systems, engine management, ABS, airbags, and other complex modules.
- Proficiency with a wide range of automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, managing time effectively.
