About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Remote Information Security Manager to lead their cybersecurity initiatives and manage their security operations center (SOC) from anywhere, supporting their business presence in Mossel Bay . This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive security strategy, managing a team of security professionals, and ensuring the protection of the organization's information assets against cyber threats.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security leadership, a deep understanding of threat landscapes, and the ability to drive security best practices across a distributed workforce. This is a fully remote position focused on building and maintaining a resilient security posture.
- Develop, implement, and manage the overall cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of information security professionals, including SOC analysts and engineers.
- Oversee incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards.
- Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
- Promote a strong security culture throughout the organization through awareness programs and training.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing security operations centers (SOC) and incident response teams.
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and cloud security certifications are highly preferred.
