Senior Security Operations Center; SOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and analytical Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's global infrastructure. You will leverage state-of-the-art monitoring tools and collaborate with security teams to investigate security incidents and implement mitigation strategies.

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security incidents, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
• Develop and refine detection rules, threat hunting methodologies, and incident response playbooks.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to understand and counter emerging threats.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SOC analysts.
• Document incident details, findings, and resolutions meticulously in the ticketing system.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Strong understanding of common attack vectors, threat actors, and malware analysis.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack) and EDR solutions.
• Experience with network traffic analysis and log analysis.
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, or Security+ are highly valued.
