Data Analyst - Clinical Trials

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Data Analyst with a focus on Clinical Trials to join their innovative research division, operating remotely from Pretoria . This critical role involves managing, analyzing, and interpreting complex clinical trial data to support drug development and research validation. You will play a key part in ensuring data integrity, generating insights, and contributing to the overall success of our clinical research programs.

This fully remote position requires a proactive individual with exceptional analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail, who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual setting.

• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets generated from clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform statistical analysis on clinical trial data using appropriate software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) to identify trends, efficacy, and safety signals.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data management plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinical data.
• Create clear and concise reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present findings to project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, biostatistics, and medical affairs teams to define data requirements and analytical strategies.
• Identify and investigate data anomalies, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain data quality.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a significant focus on clinical trial data management and analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as SAS , R, or Python.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial phases, data types, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH-GCP, FDA guidelines).
• Excellent data visualization skills and experience with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote environment.
