Senior Network Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Security Specialist to join their team in a completely remote capacity. This critical role is responsible for safeguarding our client's network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will design, implement, and manage robust security solutions, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate is a proactive security expert with a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and threat intelligence, committed to maintaining the highest levels of data protection and network integrity in a distributed team environment.

• Design, implement, and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures across the organization.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in network security or cybersecurity operations.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and threat detection platforms.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM are highly preferred.
