  The IT Engineer provides day-to-day desktop, network, and basic server support, split between remote support for most of the year and an onsite rotation at our Piketberg site during harvest season.

  The role suits a hands‑on, bilingual individual (English & Afrikaans) who can work reliably in a support‑ driven, standby‑ready environment while delivering consistent service across remote and onsite periods.

• Remote & Desktop Support:
• Provide remote technical support to end users, mainly via Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams,
• SharePoint, One Drive)
• Install, update, and maintain Windows desktops and laptops (Windows 10/11)
• Monitor client systems and devices using RMM (remote monitoring and management) tools
• Perform basic troubleshooting across network and infrastructure environments
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where required
• Network & Server Basics:
• Support basic networking --- Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, cabling, and VPN connectivity
• Perform basic server tasks --- restarts, checking backups ran, monitoring disk space, and simple

• Assist with configuration changes and system adjustments
• Onsite Support (Piketberg -- Harvest Season):
• Travel to Piketberg for a 3‑month onsite rotation each year during harvest season, when on‑the‑
• ground support is busiest.
• Install and repair physical equipment, run or repair network cabling, and set up workstations

• Provide face‑to‑face support to the local team during the rotation
• Incident & Request Management:
• Log, track, and resolve support tickets through the service desk system.
• Ensure accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
