We'd love to hear from you! About the Role Join our Technology Controls Testing team and help strengthen the controls that support secure, resilient and well-governed technology services. Using the COBIT framework, you will deliver risk-based assurance over key technology controls and provide clear, evidence-led insight into how effectively they are designed and operating. This is an opportunity to work across major technology and transformation activity, while helping HL develop a more automated, data-led and continuous approach to control testing.

You will partner with control owners, Technology, Risk, Operational Resilience and programme teams to identify weaknesses, support proportionate remediation and improve control testability by design. What you'll be doing Plan and deliver assigned activity from the technology control testing plan, managing walkthroughs, evidence requests, milestones and dependencies. Carry out risk-based testing across areas including access, change, incident, service continuity, resilience, suppliers, data centres and technology platforms.

Assess control design and operating effectiveness using COBIT-aligned standards and HL's risk management framework. Produce clear, concise and well-evidenced test scripts, working papers, findings and management information. Work constructively with control owners and colleagues to validate findings, understand root causes and agree proportionate remediation. Track issues and actions, review remediation evidence and escalate overdue or inadequate responses. Identify repeatable tests, reliable data sources and opportunities to automate evidence collection, analytics and continuous monitoring.

Build your expertise in COBIT, technology risk, control testing, data analytics and automation, sharing good practice across the team. About you Essential Experience in technology risk, technology controls, control testing, IT audit, technology assurance or a comparable risk and control environment. Understanding of technology change, service continuity, supplier technology risk and operational resilience. Knowledge of COBIT, or the ability to build this knowledge quickly, and how it can support control design, operation and maturity assessment.

Strong analytical skills and professional judgement, with the ability to interrogate evidence, identify trends and reach balanced conclusions. Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence engaging technology specialists, control owners, risk colleagues and managers. Ability to provide constructive challenge and produce high-quality testing documentation, reports and management information.

Desirable Experience in data analysis, management information, control evidence management or the automation of control monitoring or testing. Awareness of FCA expectations, operational resilience requirements and technology governance good practice.
