About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to drive their software development initiatives in Stellenbosch , with a focus on a remote-first approach. You will be responsible for guiding Agile teams to deliver high-quality software products, fostering a collaborative and efficient development process. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, along with strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate team success and stakeholder engagement.
You will play a key role in promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement within the engineering department, ensuring projects meet strategic objectives while working effectively in a distributed team environment.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor Agile teams, fostering a self-organizing and high-performing environment.
- Remove impediments and roadblocks for the development team to ensure smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlog clarity and effective sprint goal definition.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team and organization.
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to foster collaboration and transparency within distributed teams.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is highly preferred.
