Senior Network Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly vigilant Senior Network Security Analyst to join their dedicated security operations team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is critical in safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of our client's extensive telecommunications network and sensitive data. You will be responsible for monitoring threats, investigating security incidents, and implementing advanced security measures to protect against cyber-attacks.

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential threats using SIEM tools.
• Investigate, respond to, and manage security incidents, including intrusion detection and prevention.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for network security.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure the security of all systems and infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network security analysis and incident response.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption techniques.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability scanners.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly valued.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
