About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced VoIP Systems Administrator to join their fully remote technical operations team. This role is central to managing and optimizing our Voice over IP infrastructure, ensuring seamless and reliable communication services for our global user base. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our VoIP systems, working in a collaborative, virtual environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive administrator who thrives on maintaining high availability and performance in a distributed setting.
- Administer, manage, and maintain the company's VoIP infrastructure , including PBX systems, call managers, and gateways.
- Monitor VoIP system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability and quality of service.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice communication problems, including call quality issues, call routing errors, and user provisioning challenges.
- Implement security measures to protect the VoIP network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP services with other network components.
- Develop and update VoIP system documentation , user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Proven experience as a VoIP Administrator or in a similar role managing unified communications platforms.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Experience with specific VoIP platforms (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Asterisk, 3CX) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues remotely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective in a remote work setting.
