About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical Operations Research Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in applying mathematical modeling and analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and optimize decision-making processes. You will work with large datasets to develop models that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance across various business functions. This is an ideal opportunity for a quantitative expert who enjoys tackling challenging problems and contributing to strategic initiatives from a remote location.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain mathematical models, algorithms, and statistical methods to address complex operational issues.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making.
- Design and conduct simulations to test various scenarios and evaluate the impact of proposed operational changes.
- Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to define problem statements, gather data requirements, and communicate findings.
- Build optimization models for resource allocation, scheduling, inventory management, and network design.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to effectively communicate complex analytical results to non-technical audiences.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience applying operations research techniques to solve real-world business problems.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX).
- Expertise in statistical analysis, simulation modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a fully remote setting.
