About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will play a critical role in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets related to drug development, clinical trials, and market trends. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions, product development pipelines, and commercialization efforts within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Develop and implement sophisticated data models and analytical frameworks to identify key trends and insights within pharmaceutical data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical operations, and marketing, to define data requirements and deliver impactful reports.
• Perform statistical analysis on clinical trial data to assess drug efficacy, safety, and patient outcomes, providing clear summaries and recommendations.
• Utilize advanced data visualization tools to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing robust data validation processes and adhering to industry best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis methodologies and tools used by the team.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or Python, and experience with SQL for data extraction.
• Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical research and development processes, including clinical trial phases and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely in a remote setting.
