Senior Network Security Analyst

Our client, a leader in the telecommunications sector in Pretoria, is looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Analyst to bolster their cybersecurity team. This critical role will involve safeguarding our extensive network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for implementing robust security measures, conducting threat analysis, and responding to security incidents across the organisation. • Design, implement, and manage advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
• Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and potential breaches.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, leading the response to security breaches and data loss incidents.
• Create and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation.
• Provide security awareness training to staff and contribute to security strategy and roadmap development.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity analysis, or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security architecture.
• Proficiency with security tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, and various SIEM platforms.
• Experience with cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly advantageous.
