About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Procurement Specialist with a focus on IT and software procurement to join their dynamic team in Nelspruit. This role is essential for sourcing and managing technology-related goods and services, including hardware, software licenses, cloud services, and IT support. You will work closely with the IT department and other business units to understand their technological needs and ensure procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant.
This position offers a unique blend of procurement expertise and IT understanding, supporting innovation and technological advancement in a hybrid work environment.
- Lead the procurement process for IT hardware, software, cloud services, and related technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT procurements.
- Collaborate closely with the IT department to define technical specifications and requirements.
- Manage software license compliance and ensure optimal utilization of technology investments.
- Analyze market trends in the IT sector to identify new solutions and cost-saving opportunities.
- Proven experience in IT procurement or sourcing technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing models, and cloud computing services.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, particularly for technology contracts.
- Ability to liaise effectively between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and knowledge of IT asset management principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
