Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures across their cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based assets, architecting secure solutions, and leading efforts to protect against sophisticated threats.

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native security services, including firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, IAM, and encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests of cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Lead incident response efforts for cloud-based security events, including investigation and remediation.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and engineering teams to embed security into the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field;
  Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on cloud security engineering.
• Deep expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective security services.
• Proven experience with security automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), container security, and data protection in the cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting.
