About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their hybrid team in Vereeniging . This role is critical in enhancing and defending the organization's cybersecurity defenses. You will lead investigations into complex security incidents, develop advanced security strategies, and mentor junior analysts. This position offers a significant opportunity to make a substantial impact on the company's security posture, blending on-site collaboration with remote work flexibility in Vereeniging .
Key Responsibilities- Lead the investigation and response to complex security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and maintain advanced threat detection and prevention capabilities.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Design and implement security architecture improvements and solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior security analysts, fostering their professional development.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and technologies, advising on strategic security enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on analysis and incident response.
- Expertise in SIEM solutions , intrusion detection/prevention systems, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container security.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Relevant advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC are required.
