Remote Installation & Support Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Remote Installation & Support Engineer to join their globally distributed technical team, supporting clients across South Africa. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the country. You will be instrumental in guiding customers through the installation process of our advanced systems, providing remote troubleshooting, and ensuring a seamless user experience.

This role demands strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements independently. You will be a vital link in delivering our high-quality technical solutions and support.

• Provide remote guidance and support for the installation and configuration of complex technical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients via phone, email, or remote access tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including installation guides and troubleshooting FAQs.
• Conduct remote training sessions for clients on system usage and best practices.
• Collaborate with the internal engineering team to identify and report product issues or enhancement requests.
• Manage client support tickets, prioritizing urgent issues and ensuring timely resolution.
• Contribute to building a knowledge base of common problems and their solutions.

• Proven experience in a technical support, installation, or engineering role, with a strong emphasis on remote operations.
• Excellent understanding of software installation, network configuration, and system diagnostics .
• Proficiency in using remote support tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
