Description:
- Install, configure, maintain, and support IBM z/OS and related system software.
- Perform z/OS upgrades, maintenance, system modifications, and lifecycle management.
- Use SMP/E to manage installations, upgrades, PTFs, APARs, HOLDDATA, SYSMODs, zones, and CSI datasets.
- Develop and maintain REXX scripts for administration, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, and operational automation.
- Administer, configure, and support z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF), including services, workflows, and plugins.
- Troubleshoot complex z/OS issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve system problems.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall health.
- Collaborate with operations, application, storage, network, security, and database teams on infrastructure issues.
- Participate in migrations, disaster recovery testing, modernization initiatives, production support, and on-call activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, configuration standards, and runbooks while mentoring other administrators.
- Advanced experience administering and troubleshooting IBM z/OS environments.
- Extensive experience with SMP/E, including PTFs, APARs, HOLDDATA, SYSMODs, zones, and CSI datasets.
- Experience developing REXX scripts for z/OS automation and operational support.
- Experience administering and configuring IBM z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF).
- Experience with z/OS upgrades, maintenance, migrations, lifecycle management, and system modifications.
- Strong system problem-determination and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Experience monitoring mainframe performance, availability, capacity, and system health.
- Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, application, storage, network, security, and database teams.
- Availability for production support and on-call responsibilities as required.
- Remote work arrangement.
- Long-term contract engagement.
- Hourly rate is open/negotiable.
