Lead Smart Contract Auditor

Our client is seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Lead Smart Contract Auditor to spearhead their security initiatives for Stellenbosch
-based projects. In this critical role, you will lead a team of auditors in performing in-depth security reviews of smart contracts across various blockchain platforms. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity of decentralized applications, and protecting user assets. This is a leadership position demanding a profound understanding of blockchain security, risk assessment, and the ability to guide technical teams in delivering robust security solutions in a remote setting.

• Lead and manage a team of smart contract auditors , overseeing all audit engagements.
• Perform comprehensive security audits of smart contracts written in Solidity and other languages.
• Develop and refine audit methodologies, tools, and best practices for assessing blockchain security.
• Identify, analyze, and document complex vulnerabilities and security risks.
• Provide clear, actionable recommendations to development teams for remediation of identified issues.
• Communicate audit findings and security posture to stakeholders, including project teams and management.

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in smart contract auditing and blockchain security.
• Deep knowledge of Solidity programming , common vulnerabilities (reentrancy, integer overflows, etc.), and their exploitation.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
• Familiarity with formal verification techniques and security analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical risks to diverse audiences.
