Senior Systems Administrator

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join their fully remote engineering team. • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including operating systems (Linux/Windows), virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Implement and manage robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard company data and operations.
• Automate routine administrative tasks through scripting (e.g., Power Shell, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed, fostering a collaborative IT ecosystem.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in systems administration, with a proven track record in managing complex IT infrastructures.
• Strong expertise in server virtualization, cloud computing platforms, and network protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and system management tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Experience with cybersecurity best practices and implementing security controls within an enterprise environment.
