Cloud Security Architect

Our client in Randburg is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions for their cloud infrastructure. This strategic role will involve developing security blueprints, defining security controls, and ensuring the secure deployment and operation of cloud-based services across major cloud platforms. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization’s data and applications in the cloud environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and leading the charge in cloud security innovation.

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Define and enforce cloud security policies , standards, and best practices.
• Develop security solutions for identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and network security in the cloud.
• Conduct security reviews of cloud deployments and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop incident response plans and procedures specific to cloud environments.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and technologies relevant to Randburg 's tech landscape.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on cloud security .
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, services, and architectures.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for security tasks.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
