Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure, protecting sensitive data, and defending against cloud-specific threats. • Design, implement, and manage security controls and services in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and automate security policies, configurations, and compliance checks for cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance deviations.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions in the cloud.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and work with relevant teams to remediate issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security into cloud-native applications and CI/CD pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on cloud security .
• In-depth knowledge of security best practices and services on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with cloud security tools, infrastructure as code (IaC), and container security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) for automation.
• Strong understanding of network security, IAM, data security, and compliance in cloud contexts.
