About the Role Our client is looking for a highly skilled Remote Network Security Analyst to join their cybersecurity team, operating entirely from home. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring network traffic, identifying potential security threats, and implementing robust security measures to protect the organization's digital assets. You will analyze security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and contribute to the development and refinement of security policies and procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive security professional to work remotely, making a significant contribution to the company's security posture within a collaborative and innovative virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools, for suspicious activities.
  • Analyze security alerts and logs to identify and investigate potential security breaches and threats.
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Respond to security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution and post-incident analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance defenses.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security analysis or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security architectures, and common attack vectors.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
