Remote Telecoms Network Security Engineer

Our client is looking for a dedicated Remote Telecoms Network Security Engineer to join their highly skilled, geographically dispersed security operations team. • Design, implement, and maintain robust network security solutions, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and SIEM platforms.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for the telecommunications network.
• Monitor network security events, analyze logs, and respond effectively to security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security best practices into network designs and deployments.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures relevant to the telecoms industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a strong emphasis on telecommunications networks.
• Proficiency with security technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or similar firewalls.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common security vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Security+) are highly valued.
